Smooth talking and shameless opportunist. Asked for an up-front callout fee of £40 just to have a look despite the job being  accurately specified.

His quote for the job was disproportionately excessive  and was on top of the call out fee.

He fails to appreciate that some customers might know more about plumbing than he does and they won't be taken in by any spiel designed to "big-up" the job and so try to justify  disproportionate charges.

If you need plumbing done,  best to go elsewhere.

Thanks Alice.

I thought duplicated posts weren't allowed on this forum?

I can't see his other post, what section is it in?

ETA: I found it, but V has edited it. However his original post is still  shown as I quoted it in mine.

And his post in this thread  is identical to his original post on the other thread.

What's going on?

Admin?

Oh. Now he has edited this one as well.

Global issues all play their own parts (as they do with other countries) but the UK govt had  been especially abject for years. Improvements could not be made with them in power. That's not to say everything is all roses when they go To claim parties shouldn't try and sell themselves in an election is absurd - but if labour did overpromise or dig into specifics (which they partly couldn't because they didn't have their hands on the books) then we live in a country where a population and media is happy to punch on them and relect the shabby last govt I mean if any argument I made was supported by some posters I would rethink it but thats just me
