I'm not privy to what 'keeps' happening. I was just referring to Keef's particular situation and how it seems easy enough to acceot a report of a phone call from a PO and accept it as complete truth.

As for your chips, did you not get the metaphorical CCTV?

Crikey, whilst the Police are only human like the rest of us and prone to a bit of frustration, and every organisation can have a few bad eggs, it completely escapes me why not telling the police about a stolen jacket could be seen as reasonable behaviour.

I did ask the Vale myself about CCTV, and was told that they had recorded over it. This was on the Monday morning, the event having happened on Friday night.

Like I said before, I never blamed the Vale for my coat going missing, if anything, it was my fault for leaving it for a couple of minutes (although I did think friends were watching it). The response of one man after the event is my issue.

As for harming a local business, I gave that business a lot of bloody money a few years ago. In my opinion, they have done nothing but harm themselves, as they don't appear to want anyone in there.

Grass! ;-)

There's a load of geeks from off of the internet that have been slagging my business off for years, suddenly condescending to pay me a visit - as if I should be all grateful, like, and doffing the cap. I'll take their money but I couldn't give a rat's ass if any of them come back, to be honest.

Sound about right?

Geek i may be. But im not "from the internet". I have had more than one row with the owner. . . Once about where i could sit and eat in his empty pub and i told him to his face then. Again, like keef, this is pre forum. And no one is saying anything libelous here. Plus if any case was brought there would be a queue out to kent of ex customers and staff with "stories to tell"

Fair play Ted. I don't think opinion on here or anywhere else has made a difference. He is a funny chap (in my opinion). A bunch of us used to go in there all the time a few years back. We spend A LOT of money in there, we danced, we had a laugh, but he and one or 2 of his bouncers were just really unfriendly and rude. In the end it got to much and we all stopped going, I don't think we are alone, as it used to be packed, now it is dead.

Good luck to him though, he obviously knows best.

    • Hello everyone, It's been a long time since I posted on here and I just wanted to update the situation. I remain active and available for haircuts. I am a home-visit hairdresser based in SW London. It's been a long time since I posted on here and I just wanted to update the situation. I remain active and available for haircuts. Some of you know me already. I posted a while back so I just want to re-introduce myself. I have been working as a hairdresser for the past 20 years (I'm 50, I trained at Vidal Sassoon and had a salon of my own, Top To Toe in Morden Jan 2000-Dec 2004) but now I just do freelance cutting hair for clients in their homes. I am available to answer queries if anyone has any? My speciality is cutting - men, women and children. I do have colour expertise so can advise but I do not colour hair at home. Thank you. There may be members of the forum who remember me coming to their home to do their hair in the 1990s! I have used the forum for a long time, as well also the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) newsletters back in the day. I have many clients with babies - it's one of the many reasons that people choose a home hairdresser. I always allow an hour and a half just in case there are interruptions in the haircut so that we are under no pressure. Finally I always make a policy to mention to new clients that I am transgender woman. I transitioned in 2009 and have reached the point when I "look" perfectly acceptable (I think, There is a profile photo which is up-to-date) however I make a point of being open about my history. If you are OK with that then I would be happy to cut your hair at your earliest convenience. My practice is that you do not wash your hair before I see you and I bring all equipment and styling products with me. All you need is shampoo and conditioner. p.s. If you do look at my website, I happen to be an artist and my website reflects that rather than hairdressing. Victoria Cantons
    • That's amazing nobody was seriously hurt, but good, obviously!
    • Vladi, you are wrong. The single wheel tag axle is fitted at the rearmost, behind the twin wheel, driven axle. This is obvious from photos of the upturned vehicle.
