I have been using Niko for several years now , he is my go to plumber. On Saturday he came to my rescue  again when my water tank kept overflowing. He came out on the same day I called him, fixed the water overflow and also spotted another little job that needed doing and also did that too.

Niko is a brilliant plumber and such a nice person, you get a good job for a very fair price.

Highly recommended.  TEL: 07818 607583.

I would third this recommendation for anybody on here looking for a plumber. We needed a plumber urgently as we discovered our shower was not functional having just moved in to our flat. Having found Niko's number on here, he was quick to respond and then able to squeeze us in at short notice to come and fix the problem efficiently - when it would perhaps have been easier to just suggest getting a new shower! All whilst being a thoroughly nice guy too. Very reassuring to know we have now found a reliable and friendly plumber for the future.

Another recommendation for Niko - 07818 607583 - I contacted him after reading the glowing references on here and he came out same day to fix an issue with my sink. He also gave me some quotes and advice for other jobs, and even fixed my kitchen cupboard door!  He's a top bloke, honest and genuine, and full of entertaining stories.

Niko was a great help just before Christmas. I thought I was going to be without hot water throughout the holiday period. However, he installed 2 immersion heaters in my tank and kept in touch with me to make sure everything was working. I was very impressed with his level of service.

Highly recommended.

Just to add additional recommendation for Niko the plumber who helped to sort blocked / slow running pipes last week and gave us lots of advice as well as checking in afterwards to make sure all was well.  He also responds really quickly when you reach out to him to let you know his availability.

Niko is a top man and an excellent plumber.  Have used his services for several jobs recently including:

- Installing an outdoor tap with pipework running from a first floor flat - he did this efficiently and precisely and we're delighted with the results

- Removing a faulty radiator and installing a new one - this also involved him carrying them up and down the stairs and they are incredibly heavy.

- Unblocked our bathroom pipes with a minimum of fuss.

Would recommend him 100%.  He is also local and very reliable!

Another strong endorsement for Niko! We had a pretty catastrophic leak in the middle of the night and Niko was able to come over first thing to help identify the issue. He then did a great job repairing the plumbing that caused the problem, including installing a new shower.

He was responsive, meticulous, great value for money and a genuinely nice guy. I'd definitely use him again!

I returned from a 3 week holiday, late on Friday night to find my flat flooded due to blockage in a communal drainage pipe. In a state of panic I hit this site and nearly everybody seemed to be recommending Niko.

I called him and he was with me asap. It turned out to be a big job but he put the hours in, used up a lot of material and got it sorted with good humour. He even came back to check it was all OK the next day which of course it was. Very, very reasonable too.

So another vote for the big man from me. Give him a call: 07818 607 583

I’ve had Niko do lots of jobs in our house. He plumbed in the dryer, fixed a tricky loft shower room leak, replaced a kitchen pipe when it fell off to a better quality one, and another  pipe in an awkward spot, fitted an outdoor tap, he’s gotten a few radiators working..

Niko is very experienced, and is likely to find you a solution to any plumbing problem. Really good quality work and great chat 🙂

Just used Niko for the first time after a recommendation from our neighbour.

One of the best tradesmen we've used. Friendly, honest and down to earth - but best of all, professional.

Sorted several plumbing gripes we had, installed some new taps and even fixed a broken toilet seat just because he noticed it.

Niko is certainly one of the good guys and I'm glad to have a reliable plumber on hand if we ever need one again.

Give him a call 07818 607 583

I was recommended Niko by a neighbour and he fixed a really tricky job perfectly and in no time. He gave me lots of suggestions for another job that I need to do. He is professional, clear and such a nice guy as well as an excellent plumber. He will be my go to plumber now. Thank you.

Keen to add to this mounting pile of recommendations for Niko. Got his name from the Forum for a job fitting an outdoor tap from my first floor flat. Niko was the perfect plumber for the job; such a nice guy to work with and left me with a fully functional (and beautifully done) outdoor tap to use in the garden. Thanks Niko!

I want to endorse these reviews of Niko.  I had a problem with my toilet flush and he was able to resolve it. He is reliable, efficient and has a friendly and professional manner. I would have no hesitation in recommending him and will definitely turn to him again with any future plumbing needs.

Niko is responsive, professional, efficient and super friendly. He fit me in late in the day for an important job . We had a leaking pipe under the sink which was going into the downstairs flat. He didn’t just fix the leak but checked the boiler, pulled out the washing machine and checked all the pipes, he really went the extra mile. Cannot recommend him enough.

Niko has done several jobs at our place in Honor Oak.Recently we've called him out to replace s shower. We thought that the tiles needed stripping out  and replacing. However he explained that the tiles were perfectly adequate for what we wanted. That sums up Niko. He never recommends unnecessary work and is always conscious of cost. He is also a brilliant plumber who is available to offer free advice over the phone if necessary. He is also an incredibly nice bloke. Our go to plumber. He is fair reasonable and very professional. 5*. The only reluctance we have is that he may get too popular and next time we need him we may have a problem because he is so busy !!

    • There's some good debate here, but sadly this forum can become quite polarised and the title of the thread doesn't work.  It's useful to look back on how we got in this mess. Blair had the benefit of a massive feel good factor, and his personality, but he did some dodgy things even before the war crime of Iraq, such as the Formula One fiasco.  He will be looked at, no doubt, as both a moderniser, war criminal and the person responsible for much of the pain resulting from on line gambling. The BBC documentaries on both Thatcher and Blair were excellent, and reinforced many of my opinions.  I wonder what a similar documentary will say about Cameron. Which brings me on my thought for the day.  Somewhere in the mid tens the world became more fractious.  And many became less interested understanding politics getting their information from less reliable and more biased sources.  A far more divided country and world.  Not sure how much of the coalition government contributed to this, it was benign in some respects, with LD blunting perhaps some of the more extreme policies of their Tory partners, but of course we know what happened to the LDs at the next election.  The early stage of blaming civil servants was not very helpful (and followed by successive governments including Starmer, in part.  Austerity definitely contributed to decimation of the public services and perhaps an even more alienated group of 'have nots'. Then Labour missed the open goal of the 2015 election, the Tories played it very savvy in their campaign and of course the LDs were routed.  I fully expect that Brexit will be seen by historians as the turning point/watershed.  I'm still scared 8 years later, and have lost 'friends' and still have some awkwardness with family members.  How much Brexit begat Farage begat Trump I don't know.  I expect the tide was turning across the west, but the UK helped accelerate this.  Many were already turning away from conventional sources of information - I remember before Brexit seeing a 25 year olds news feed and it was all one lines echoing the Daily Mail, we are all 'going to hell in a handcart'.  The failure to invest by more recent Tory governments when lending was cheap, the continued mess of Brexit (and the negative impact on our economy), then the relative unavailability of Covid and Ukraine, and here we are now.  The elephant in the room is managed migration, I'm being served by Indian students in bars in London, rather than French or Eastern Europeans.  No issue for me.  Students have always worked in bars.  But there is an enormous gig/minimum wage job  sector out there that relies on foreign workers which I can't get my head around. Looking forward to you sorting out this mess PM.  I think there have been some poor handling and timing issues, and some decisions not made that would have peed many off (anything to do with cars!) which were a missed opportunity with such a large majority.  Diluting commitments on nationalisation of the rail network/operators being another prime example.  I don't run with the more extreme and somewhat viral view of its a catastrophe.  Yet.  Just a very much first school term report as should have done much better.
    • And then the thief will fly tip it.  Not very helpful.
    • For anyone else looking to get rid of a broken TV...
    • I've been absolutely inundated with emails from various places connected with the NHS telling me I am eligible and inviting me to go for these jabs. I had them both ages ago. Surely there is some central database showing who has already  had them?
