Glad you enjoyed 148 There is also, slight further out, Dragons Castle at the Elephant and Castle, a bit of an experience but good food Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/341117-best-place-for-a-chinese/page/2/#findComment-1657876 Share on other sites
Jenny I
The new Chinese on Lordship Lane, Chi, is really good and the staff are really warm and welcoming. Food is authentic and delicious. I highly recommend! We ate in but they also do takeaway. 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/341117-best-place-for-a-chinese/page/2/#findComment-1657888 Share on other sites

It's overpriced and really not that high quality (one dish came to me only half defrosted), with excruciatingly slow service. After going there 3 times, we've given up. Instead I would recommend some of the many new Chinese places which have cropped up on E&C: Pot & Rice (Taiwanese), Murger Han (Xi'an food), Oisoi (Jiangnan cuisine, more high-end) and so on. Spartacus
Archie, with your chicken poisoning and half cooked Chinese experience, remind me never to join you for a meal as you seem really unlucky 🤣 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/341117-best-place-for-a-chinese/page/2/#findComment-1658042 Share on other sites

Dogkennelhillbilly
I think Magic Wok on Lordship Lane near The Plough does its own deliveries. It's a classic takeaway place. Three Uncles in Brixton Market is pretty good (and only a short trip away on the 37). It seems that must, if not all local Chinese restaurants want cash on delivery.
