Couple seeking a local flat from early April

Hi everyone, a pair of South East natives here in a little bit of a housing crisis. After living in our wonderful 1 bed for nearly 4 years and putting a lot of love and energy into the home, our landlord has decided to sell up due to his health. It's completely fair enough but we are heartbroken to have to consider leaving this incredible area, and we'd like to do anything we can to stay.

We're of course scouting all the housing news and websites, but I wanted to put it out into the universe that we're actively looking to find a new home that isn't too far away so we can stay in our community. If anyone knows of anything please let us know!

We are a couple looking for a long-term let, and ideally (mostly) unfurnished as we have our own furniture, but we're flexible. We don't need much, but we do have a very sweet small dog and cat who we adore, so we'd ideally need outside space - while living here we completely returfed and landscaped the garden by hand, so we are good at keeping things nice and adding value! I work full-time in film and TV and have a stable income and my partner works partly in Nunhead and partly freelance in film/TV - we have enough income to reliably pay our rent on time and have done for years, and we also have a guarantor. We're looking to be spending around £1500 pcm but it really depends on the situation and the place! We're very lovely, keep to ourselves with a few low-key friendly get togethers through the year, and we're non smokers.

    • Chiming in to recommend the Canacabins team, who did a beautiful job completely rebuilding a well-loved (but falling down) shed into a new garden office. While they were at it, they also constructed a new pond surround, deck, railing, and patched up our decrepit fence, all to a high standard. A friendly team and very happy with the end result!
    • There isn’t a map for the Go Jauntly walk - I added that.  I plan to update it now the weather is getting warmer but haven’t yet. Part of the reason for adding it was that I couldn’t find a map.    Not going to help but Dulwich Festival will be doing a walk so might be worth asking them.
    • An idea if you are looking for something to do. I’ve visited and have just come across this again.    Vauxhall City Farm is a farm in London where we can see the animals the packaged meat in the supermarket comes from. Entrance is free, a donation of £4 is requested   Looking for a present you can adopt an animal - support the farm and the person you gift it to will get 3 lots of food to feed on visits.    The 50th Anniversary Appeal is currently running so they can do the farm up and hopefully give the animals a home and people the chance to see them for another 50 years. If you want to donate here’s the link    https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/growthenext50years
