This sounds like the very old ginger cat who has arthritis and is blind in one eye.  I have contacted the person who looks out for him.  Please don't try to catch him as he will bolt.  Thanks for letting us know.

Just to say, if this was him, he's back at his house,  safe and sound and having a good kip.

    • Wouldn't it make more sense to ask the guy who posted the rumours for the source of the information? The Crown & Greyhound refurb was a big job - not surprising that it took longer than just a simple repainting. But renovating the Grove would be even bigger because it's totally wrecked, and there's a shortage of skilled labour and much more expensive materials now...
    • Rather bizarrely, I received a text from TJ surgery offering this service. To be clear, no data was asked for in the text so I don't suspect a scam but surely this is dodgy? Where does my DNA info end up and who would have access? I'm going to the surgery on the invite date to ask precisely this.
    • I used Emmaus https://emmaus.org.uk/slc/ to clear my grandfathers house last year. They were great. They all charge for this service so will come and give you a quote first.
    • Hi, does anyone know of any charities or companies that can come and clear your house to be donated for a good cause? I know the British heart foundation does but wondering if there are others? We are moving overseas and hoping to donate most of our belongings in one swoop if we can! Thanks.
