Has anyone else on or around Crebor street had low water pressure all day? I saw on Thames Water website a sewage leak was reported today but the work outside has been going on a while now so low pressure today is rather random

Many thanks

Spell check

Crebor is having it's water main updated to plastic. They are digging up the whole road. It's meant to finish mid-march! The pressure has dropped for sure. You need to call Thames Water and complain. There seems to be a leak in the road at the moment which will be affecting the pressure. Yesterday the guys updating the water main told us they were turning off our water. When they turned it on again 30 mins later we had very low pressure. They sent a plumber round today to check internally. He removed some sludge from our taps and things are better. I'm not sure it'll be the same for everyone because of the leak in the road but it helped us. Wonder if one end of the road has better pressure than the other.

    • FWIW, concern at the growing number if bikes and powerful e-bikes, consistently exceeding 20mph, while riding on pavements as well as jumping red lights- even at busy junctions, is also very much about safety and concerns about this and about dangerous driving in cars and larger vehicles should not be mutually exclusive. If you view the roads as already dangerous, do you also want to see pavements and crossings at red lights made even more dangerous by turning a blind eye? Should this thread be in the traffic section?

    • 20 mph zone. 2 tonne car. Absolutely standard road violence - add it to the weekly railings being mangled on the South Circular. The only reason it is remarkable is because they managed to plant it on top of the wall. Oddly, there are some that remain preoccupied by kids on bikes on pavements and some cyclist that didn't stop at a red light as being what's really dangerous around here. I think they are probably motivated by factors other than road safety when banging that drum.
    • We recently had our wooden floors sanded, filled, and varnished by Nikolay, and we’re really pleased with the results. He was professional, efficient, and took the time to explain our options and the finish we wanted. Nikolay was a pleasure to have around—knowledgeable, respectful of our home, tidy, and on schedule. He communicated well throughout, and the final result looks fantastic. We’d highly recommend him to anyone needing floor sanding.
