HeadNun
No vet'll touch it because of bird flu. Probably best to leave it and let nature take its course. 😢 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/340386-anyone-help-grounded-crow-by-tree-of-outside-141-barry-road/#findComment-1654327 Share on other sites
Jules-and-Boo
Contact local wildlife centres or RSPB, and get advice. I would also call the vets. It may be stunned and just need time or may be injured - is he moving/ limping/ breathing properly? I’d try and put him in a safe place away from cars and people. Google injured crow as well Edited February 1, 2024 by Jules-and-Boo Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/340386-anyone-help-grounded-crow-by-tree-of-outside-141-barry-road/#findComment-1654332 Share on other sites

SpringTime
Least concern. Crows eat each other anyway. They will usually start with the eyes Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/340386-anyone-help-grounded-crow-by-tree-of-outside-141-barry-road/#findComment-1654335 Share on other sites
Jules-and-Boo
Crows live in family groups and will protect each other. It may be there are other crows around, they will feed an injured bird. do update when you have info x 2 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/340386-anyone-help-grounded-crow-by-tree-of-outside-141-barry-road/#findComment-1654338 Share on other sites
SpringTime
They also eat each other. When this crow's croaked the others will crow for its flesh. Starting with the eyes. Gloves
I once found an injured pigeon and no one wanted to help. In the end, I stuck it in an Uber to a wild life sanctuary in Lewisham, at their request. 3 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/340386-anyone-help-grounded-crow-by-tree-of-outside-141-barry-road/#findComment-1654382 Share on other sites

I tried to Uber someone's packed lunch to them once and two drives flatly refused to be liable for the sandwich. Mabaker
I found a stunned blackbird outside my house. I put it in a shoebox and took it to the vets who were happy to look after it. After phoning for an update I was told that the bird had revived after some refreshments and r and r and they released it. The biggest danger is them falling prey to the local cats. I wouldn't ever leave a bird or any other creature in distress. It doesn't matter what kind of bird it is 7 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/340386-anyone-help-grounded-crow-by-tree-of-outside-141-barry-road/#findComment-1654451 Share on other sites
malumbu
I'd let feral pigeons and green squawky things be devoured by the first predator but otherwise very much in agreement.
