The Scorpion
I am looking for recommendations for someone to initially put together 2 items of Ikea smaller items of furniture (craft/worktop space plus a desk- sometime in February) also to later fix a large tv mounting to wall plus a tv, and also put together a leather reclining/massage chair with stool (Feb/March - TBA). I also would like put together a double colonial style wood bed base and headboard - sometime in February). I might also need other small DIY tasks undertaken in the future but spaced out - March onwards (convenient for both my wallet & your time!) Not all jobs mentioned maybe needed nor guaranteed wanted but just putting out feelers. Also, I would like a small pane of glass fitted in/above a metal door-frame within a council flat (some glass shards remaining in-situ). It is approximately 29W x 24D and has been broken for 25+ years. Can you give me a quote so I can figure out whether I can afford to get it done or just live with it? NO self-recommendations please (unless you have recent, good, verifiable feedback on this forum or elsewhere) and I will check-out and scrutinise every person recommended as I am not rich but I do need/would like some things doing and will happily pay a fair price for good, decent, honest work. I cannot afford to get all done at once as I am an NHS healthcare assistant with a limited income and a budget I need to stick to but, once I find that "special someone" I would request their services again AND also, recommend to others. I live on the SE23/SE26 border - just down the hill from SE22 (SE23 3YW to be precise). Thank you for reading. The Scorpion
Still looking for recommendations for a good, fair-priced and honest local handyman. Only responses I have had are PM's from people putting themselves forward but none are names I have seen before/often, mentioned in this forum so, I am wary. I find it disappointing that there is no-one who regularly uses this forum who can recommend a handyman? I have a few jobs needing doing, over time and details are in the first post. Thank you for reading.
