bluesuperted
I would do the Nunhead community choir if I had free evenings... A friend was interested in the WI in SE23 (not my cup of tea but they do lots of interesting things apparently). Stagg and Bow and Sew ED (is that their name?) do craft courses. Book group? JBoylen
Running is a good hobby. What about more volunteering, or joining a running club? Blogging about your experiences? Writing a novel? I need s running partner is you happen to run.I have Thursdays and Fridays free, if you want to get some Moms/Dads together for museums or lunch or something I am sure there are quite a few of us around. I know I's be interested. If you are not looking for company then maybe learn and instrument, martial art, a new language? Local classes of Bishopsgate my liverpool Street? vch
What about yoga? There are a few yoga classes on Fridays at the Dulwich Leisure Centre. Or jewellery making? There are some great jewellery courses at Flux Studios. Some are even free for Southwark residents. Cora
http://walterstaekwondo.com/ does an adult class on Thurs eve I think at The church on the corner of Heber Rd/Lordship Lane.....he's a lovely, committed bloke, first class is free so you could just give it a go. We had the gradings yesterday (my boys do the kid's classes) and the adult group looked like a great supportive mixed bunch who were enjoying their, mainly new, hobby!
