We had our front driveway done by Jan from Silver Fern recently. He was a really nice gentleman and we really like the work he has done.

He was very helpful with design advice  especially for our specific requirements including designing a level area for putting a bike shed on. He gave us different options and price brackets. It all looks well done and neat. He was a pleasure to have around and he was efficient. We are really pleased and we would highly recommend his work.

I contacted Jan from Silver Fern Landscaping for a quote. When he arrived one morning to do a site visit for quoting purposes, I was in a panic about a leaning wall that had moved significantly in some very high winds overnight. Jan was extremely helpful and proactive in assisting me there and then, without hesitation to make a plan and prop it up temporarily. As the whole job was more of a building job (vs landscaping) Jan kindly recommended a builder who I ended up choosing to do the work. Although Jan didn't do a formal job or project for me, the kindness he showed and his assistance in making a plan on the spot was utterly commendable and I was and am truly grateful!

    • "They sold everyone, directly or indirectly, on the notion that Covid, the energy crisis and the war in Ukraine had nothing to do with the sorry state of the UK and that it was 14 years of Tory rule and Truss' nightmare budget that was the source of all the country's woes. " This simply isn't true. Global issues all play their own parts (as they do with other countries) but the UK govt had  been especially abject for years. Improvements could not be made with them in power. That's not to say everything is all roses when they go To claim parties shouldn't try and sell themselves in an election is absurd - but if labour did overpromise or dig into specifics (which they partly couldn't because they didn't have their hands on the books) then we live in a country where a population and media is happy to punch on them and relect the shabby last govt I mean if any argument I made was supported by some posters I would rethink it but thats just me
