Forecourt

Choose if you can a water permeable solution to any work on a forecourt. Brick pavers on sand (or gravel on a membrane) are water permeable and will avoid run-off and allow the ground around your house not overly to dry-out. Both will also allow access (in a way that concrete or asphalt won't) to services running to your house.

I asked for recommendations on the EDF about four weeks ago and researched a few recommendations.Frankito my neighbour said his friend Liam had done his driveway in paving slabs, which looked good, but not what I was looking for, as I wanted block paving. However I contacted Liam, who called and said it was not the type of work he did, "but he knew a man who did". Liam contacted his friend Seamus who duly called a few days later, we discussed the requirements and at the end of the week I received his quotes for doing the job in two different ways.I opted for the slightly more expensive option and Seamus, his father Tom and Tony started the following Monday.Absolutely no money was requested until the job was completed, they worked quickly and cleanly and even removed quite a lot of brick rubble I had from a wall I had demolished, this was done at no extra charge whatsoever, needless to say I gave them a drink on top for this but Seamus said this was not necessary. I now have a beautiful brindle coloured block paved driveway with charcoal coloured border, it looks superb. If any of you need a great block paved driveway contact Seamus Kane on 07539 196074.A great job well done.My thanks also to Frankito for giving me the contact details to enable me to get such a good result.I should add that Liam phoned the Sunday after completion to check if I was happy with the result, which of course I was and still am.
