lpool
I wondered if it was Springers as I know they have a nice garden out the back. http://www.fleurets.com/on-market/property/march-april-2008/On-market-March-2008.pdfYou need to scroll down to page 19 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3385-anyone-recognise-this-place-for-sale/ Share on other sites

Brendan
Looks like Springers to me although 40 covers inside and 40 outside seems a bit ambitious dunnit. AcedOut
I don't really frequent that area of town. Anything around there noteworthy? I've only ever been through that area on the 37 bus! Jamma
Would be a shame if it's Springers, that's the best eating out place in East Dulwich by some distance Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3385-anyone-recognise-this-place-for-sale/#findComment-105802 Share on other sites
alachlan
That is definitely springers - maybe two sittings of 20 covers in and out, or a typo as i would guess at 40 total. CamberwellOz
I went there about six months ago and wasn't that impressed. It is a pity - it could be brilliant. I thought the food was average. (Sorry Alan) The staff were great though. bloke
It's dated old Springers. Reasonable food with goodish wines.20 covers inside. The problem with the property regarding purchasing it, is the access to the upstairs flat is through the restaurant. Thought about it, but not really viable IMHO. AcedOut
I'm sure that can be sorted out. That, or turn it into a large restaurant. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3385-anyone-recognise-this-place-for-sale/#findComment-105878 Share on other sites

SimonM
I think Springers had its "golden age" when the hospital was full size and had (almost) all the wards in use. It was a handy drinking/eating hole for medical and other staff.
