Dulwich Swimming Pool closed

The swimming pool at Dulwich Leisure Centre is closed due to a gas leak, meaning that the temperature of the water has dropped. No indication atm of when it will reopen

The boiler has been out of service for about a week 

Or at least theres been a sign up stating pool temperature is low and theres no hot water.

Its been a mess since Southwark took over.

It was a mess long before Southwark took back the contract.

I beg to differ..I thought it improved greatly when EA took over from the previous company..(who's name escapes me)

EA left it in a mess and Southwark had to clear that mess up.

Hubby was informed that the problem was the gas leak in the street.

Just phone Dulwich Leisure centre and they advised that the pool is likely to be closed for at least another week

Goodrich School uses the pool and they've been told that the parts aren't available (just like last time...) and it'll be the new year before it reopens. 

Very on-brand for Southwark (who have a duty of care to make sure it's correctly maintained by whoever the lessee is).

They aren't taking bookings for swimming on line now, so that's telling!

It's not exactly something they have control over, as it's a gas leak outside.  They have to wait for the relevant agencies to sort it before they can heat the pool.

why would apologies be needed to the previous management?  EA didn't have issues with gas leaks, they just didn't maintain the equipment.

yes, it's been open since last week.

You can currently only book lane swimming.  You can't book classes or silver swim/ ladies only swim etc.  I think because the temperature still isn't up to what it should be.
