I have an Argosy, Model 362s by Ace Radio Ltd that I bought a while ago with the idea to restore it back to its original condition.

Unfortunately, since I moved to central London, I don't have a garage so It's a project that can't go ahead.

I am open to offers from someone that would ove to go ahed with the project. It'a a are item so it is worth to do it if you have time and space.

I have attached some pictures of it and the bit of history I managed to find:

Ace Radio Ltd, Tower Works, Tower Road, Pound Lane, Willesden, London, NW10 (in 1946 & 57). Established in 1937. Maker of radios and radiograms and (in 1948) an electric floor polisher.
Opened a factory in Rhyl, North Wales circa 1960. Acquired by Kolster-Brandes Ltd (STC) in 1962. The 1964 “Trader” Year Book shows their address as: Cefndy Road, Rhyl, North Wales.
After KB's parent Standard Telephones and Cables (STC) acquired Ace, Argosy, Regentone and RGD brands in 1962, these brands (with KB) became part of "The Consumer Products Division of STC.
There was at least one Ace TV fitted with the STC (KB) VC1 chassis.
The 1964 “Trader” year book shows Argosy Radiovision Ltd at Argosy House, Rhyl, North Wales (same location as Ace Radio Ltd).
In 1971, Cefndy Road, Rhyl, North Wales, was the headquarters of ITT Manufacturing Services: ITT Components Group Europe, ITT Manufacturing Services, Cefndy Road, Rhyl, North Wales.
In December 2014, a social housing development was started on the former ITT factory site, where televisions were made, but which has been derelict for several years.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Collection in East London. I can deliver too within london area if we reach an agreement 🙂

    • Never had a problem with Poundland - good selection of stock and shop is clean. I have always found staff helpful, pleasant and go out of their way to try and help. one in Barnstaple in Devon is I believe closing down- shop is not laid out as well, cramped and not a pleasant experience. Sure there is going to be major complaints when it closes. if the shop closes in East Dulwich, without doubt  local community will complain - not everyone can afford prices that other shops charge.
    • Many years ago whilst a male friend was canvassing during election time, he knocked on a door in Crystal Palace Road. Was greeted by a lady in glamorous (according to him) nightwear  who offered her services in exchange for voting for a particular candidate!  Our friend, who must have been in his 60s at that point , politely declined. We all had a good laugh over this and every time people went canvassing for years afterwards, they were regaled with this story.
    • Noticed that  Car Giant is listed as being in White City.  Prefer somewhere in South London/Bromley area as have difficulty accessing some public transport due to mobility issues.  The body work of my car is not brilliant and this could cause it to fail MOT
