Wow. Looks great there Fishbiscuits....I'm impressed. Nice blog too.

Hello ED forum!

Hope you're all well and good!

I've been hearing a lot of gossip and hearsay locally and would like to give you all the opportunity to ask me (Mark) the General Manager of The Flying Pig any questions that you might have or if you would just like to know more about the project.

So please feel free to ask!

Hey Mark - best of luck with the restaurant. What's on the menu? Brisket? Ribs? How about beef ribs? Will you be doing American-stlye "biscuits" or cornbread, by any chance?

What desserts? Hopefully something rich and sickly.

How about the beers? What are you planning to have on tap? Are you planning to have a mixture of regulars and specials?

How many covers?

Thanks Fishbiscuits! I love a good Q&A session!

YEP ribs (pork and beef), beef & chicken burgers, steaks, cornbread, waffles, buffalo wings, brisket, etc... but we're not all about barbecuing meats. we'll have a great selection of freshly made salads and veggie dishes with other interesting dishes that should mean we have something for everyone. I've been tasting a lot of them recently and can honestly say everyone in East Dulwich is in for a proper treat. We have a very passionate and talent chef on board.

Desserts YES! I'll need to speak to chef about these.

Beer - We'll have 12 keg and 6 cask, most of these will change frequently. We will have some regulars but that's up to the ED crowd to decide. If you guys drink more of something then we'll keep it on. we're really aiming for a good local pub vibe and to keep you guys well fed and watered. Expect lots of interesting beers.

Still deciding on total number of tables but we'll make sure it feels like a pub and not a restaurant.

Another plea for biscuits here.

Although not sure I'll be allowed in... I've read you may not be very child friendly. In the evenings I can understand, but will you be banning kids entirely or will you let the odd one in during the day so people like me can try your food?
