Pleased with Southwark's work on restoring the West Lodge at Nunhead Cemetery.  Not so pleased that I couldn't find a link to this - go down and check it out yourself

Have they finished it? I'm really interested in how it ends up so if it's done I'll take a detour and have a look.

No, but really worth checking out when you visit.  Sorry can't find a link.  Community centres sound good too.

When other councils are going bankrupt or closing their libraries, swimming pools and other sports facilities, Southwark is maintaining these important services.  There have been many moans on this forum about charging cameras, expensive brown bins and CPZs, but if this is what makes the difference between no amenities and excellent amenities, I think Southwark is making good decisions.

It looks like there's a brilliant little playpark going into Victory Park, on Balfour St. It's a nice little open space in Southwark's busier, more dense north.

There is a fair number of council houses and flat going up, obviously not everyone is happy as some green space may be lost, but in the scheme of things......

two community support officers having friendly chatty conversation with homeless man in Rye Lane. Nice to be able to see that the homeless guy is not threatened and hope that they are offering help.
