MXC
I will soon be taking my 8 month old and 3 year old to nursery on foot each morning. I was going to get the baby jogger city mini as it is a good foldable buggy. My 3 year old is very happy to go on a buggy board. Is the city mini compatible with a buggy board? Does anyone have any suggestions for a foldable buggy and board combo? BellendenBear
If you look on Lasacal's website it lists all the buggies their board can be used with and gives a rating of how compatible they are. Also shows how they attach. You can use a buggy board with a mini city double so you should be fine with a single. We used a board on the back of a maclaren quest for about 18 months. It's not ideal as you bash your shins from time to time and the weight distribution just isn't right, but you get used to it and the advantages of a small light buggy over a double wins every time for me. Also your 3 year old will probably only be on there intermittently so definitely better to have a small single with board than a clumsy double with an empty seat half the time. MXC
Thanks so much. I will look on the Lasacal's website. I guess bashing you shins every now and then I something you have to put up with!! I have the bugaboo chameleon at the moment and use that with the board but it is not a foldable buggy. alieh
We have a Lascal buggy board on a Baby Jogger City Mini and it works very well. Especially now that I've finally figured out how to use the clip thing to hold it up out of the way when you're not using it (only 18 months later...doh). I think it is the Lascal Maxi. sunbob
I use the city mini with a Bumprider board. I think it's great as it sticks out the right amount for the child to stand behind the handle and is great going along ED's bumpy pavements. My other half, at 6 footish, finds it very difficult to stear as the whole shebang is quite long. It's getting quite heavy to push now daughter is a v tall 4 year old, but it is still handy to have for long journeys. MXC
Thank you for this - I am just finding it hard to imagine the older child standing behind the handle bar (as with the chameleon they stand inside the handle bar and it extends). I thought maybe you had to have very long arms! I am going to john lewis to test a few I think! another buggy that has been recommended is the out n about nipper if anyone has experience of that with a buggy board?
