Original handmade Big Table King-size Pine Bed with Storage Boxes and ortho mattress £250ono

High quality solid wood slatted pine storage bed, with 2 matching storage boxes.
Plus the option of a free orthopaedic mattress which has been turned and protected for the 8 years I have had it (and is still firm, comfortable and clean).

Dimensions to come but the bed holds a W5ft mattress.

Big Table was an independent furniture manufacturer in West London, which closed down last year due to rent hikes and market pressure from chains like Ikea.

For transportation, the headboard needs to be unscrewed (very simple)  and as it won't fit in my car, you would need to take it away yourself.  You could also disassemble completely if needed.  It would need two people to lift as well - I can't help except to guide.  You would do well to bring blankets or dustsheets to protect the bed while transporting.

The bed frame and boxes are 20 years old and still as strong and sturdy as the first day they were installed.  I've never even had to tighten the screws.  It's the 'Original' design you can see in the picture, together with the wood boxes indicated.  The pine has seasoned to a warm, dark-honey colour pine, and the tiny marks you can see in the picture of the bed head are the only 'damage'.

Happy to let you come and have a look.  Will take a few pictures of the bed without bedding asap.

    • I'm with Octopus, and I have no idea what to do either. Finding it hard to get my head around it all. They seem to have a 15 month fix with no exit fees, however I'm not sure if I exited whether I could just revert to whatever I'm on at the moment, or whether I might find that whatever that is might no longer be an available option. I tend to just heat whatever room I'm in and/or use a heated throw. And use the microwave where possible unless I've got an oven full of stuff which I can then freeze most of.

    • ??? I feel really weak and  dizzy, I don't think it's a good idea at all to be out. And my vitamin D level is actually much too high. Last time I had blood tests, my  GP told me to stop taking vitamin tablets.  But thanks for your concern! I appreciate the advice, but I only came on here to see if other people had similar symptoms!
