Years ago I was driving through Ireland (Cork I think) minding my own business and listening to the local radio station. The male radio presenter was doing a piece on the local beauty salon; he?d grown tired of his wife complaining about everything women needed to do to be properly groomed so had decided to get himself waxed live on air. It was so obvious what was going to happen (guys having a low pain threshold and all); seconds after the strip came off a chain of expletives roared out of my radio, then silence and then a commercial break.

I laughed so hard I nearly crashed the car. I had to pull over until I could get myself under control. The car behind me also pulled over and I thought he was going to have a go at me for not indicating or something; but he was laughing too.

    • Sorry Jazzer, not a Q for me but I would plant lots and lots of trees and turn it into green space - no dogs - just nature, as much as possible on an A road 🙂
    • Can you share your ideas for the site, please? So the residents can have an idea of what your ideas/plans consist of.
    • I would turn it into a green space. Having Dulwich Park nearby is not an excuse. Why should residents of Dulwich Village, having Dulwich Junction closed and refurbished multiple times (no end to this btw cause the Southwark council apparently has millions to waste) have it and people on Lordship Lane and A25 (South Circular) ? People living in the area have to put up with very high level of: air pollution noise anti social behaviour. How about transferring the skate park from the Grove Tavern parking  to Dulwich Village?
