£35 - New David Mellor Mugs

Recommended Posts

4 new David Mellor mugs, sourced directly from the factory that makes them overseas and only used for showroom display purposes.

Available from David Mellor for £13 (plus additional delivery) but I’m happy to sell these as a set of four for £35, and I’ll deliver them to you for no extra charge.

They are currently not in stock at DM because of supply chain issues, and they won’t be back in stock until Jan ‘24, so get ahead of the queue and buy these instead!

“The British Colour Council was founded in 1931 in an attempt to standardise colours in use by government and industry throughout the UK. Official indexes of British Standard colours, each given its own colour name and number, began to be produced.

We have gone back to the early 1950s British Standard colours, with their wonderfully evocative period colour names, for our own contemporary collection of fine bone china mugs.

Each mug has a special colour-coded back stamp 'Designed using the British Standard Colour system' with the relevant colour name and number appearing on the mug as part of the design. Suitable for microwaves and dishwashers.”

    • The boards are for services provided by the council and/or non-profit groups or state agencies. Private micro businesses are to be congratulated and supported but they are able to advertise their services elsewhere, now more than ever, as part of their business plan. (This also applies to those who insist on plastering lampposts and bus shelters with their advertising, complete with protruding plastic ties at eye height!)
    • ‘All and sundry’ is just another phrase for ‘the community’ isn’t it?
    • Another strong endorsement for Niko here. Super professional, did a great job fixing a pipe and bottle trap in our bathroom, with no fuss or drama. He's also a thoroughly nice fella, so deserves all the good words being said about him here. 100% recommended. Give him a call 07818 607583.
    • They’re not there to be used by all and sundry for their private businesses (which earn money) — social media, postcards in shop windows, ads on the EDF and free newspapers are the right methods for that. I agree though that these notice boards should be kept in better nick and used as planned, namely to advertise council services etc.
