Burning smell?

Is anyone else aware of a burning, acrid smell in the air this morning? Is this coming from the fire? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-66748968

I noticed it too when walking to the station... The fire details you found sound quite likely, as it definitely doesn't smell like usual burnt toast or burning rubbish etc.

You can see the smoke in the air from the top of Dog Kennel Hill and as you decend into ED you start to smell it too.

Fire in Herne Hill in recycling centre I think. Residents in Brixton told to close windows.

Anyone know if it’s still burning/burning again? The smell seems to have become worse over night.

Seems to be a foul burning smell in the air so far today - around great exhibition area.

Just had to close my window five minutes ago because of same burning smell as last Friday, though more powerful.  It surely hasn't restarted?

I don’t think it’s fully out yet- apparently it’s been quite hard to access the collapsed building. We keep getting periods of strong smelling acrid smoke and then it goes away- assume it’s when they manage to open up parts that are still burning until they extinguish that part. Must be really awful for those living nearby.
