Sally Eva
For 2nd Sept we have 2 rides. One an all day excursion to Richmond Park and the second a shortish ride up and down the Waterlink Way. If you cannot make it, please cancel so that someone else can take the place. Even at the last minute it is worth cancelling (How to cancel). NOTE. Most rides have a report on the Southwark Cyclists web site. Usually some photos. Often route information in case you want to try it yourself. Dulwich to Richmond Park < https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/dulwich-to-richmond-park-cycle-ride-tickets-707966846897 > Meet at Dulwich Park Café (Dulwich Clock Café, middle of the park). Depart at 10am. Jean leading. Outward leg lots of quiet streets aiming to reach Richmond Park for lunch at Pembroke Lodge (bring own sandwich or buy at Lodge). Return either by train from Richmond station to Clapham Junction/Waterloo or cycle back to Dulwich. If cycling back, reckon to be at Dulwich by 3pm, 22 miles total. Peckham - Waterlink Way - Cutty Sark Loop https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/peckham-waterlink-way-cutty-sark-circular-cycle-ride-tickets-70797547269 13 mile easy cycling route. Start/finish Peckham. Meet 10am, back at 1pm. Ride to Ladywell Fields, then up and down Waterlink Way. This is one of the nicest off-road paths in London, about 1.2 miles. Then National Route 21 via Brookmill Park to Cutty Sark. Final leg back to Peckham via Folkstone Gardens and Bridgehouse Meadows. Easy ride. Bit of uphill at start then downhill or flat. Lots of off road or cycle lane. Good ride for less confident cyclists – and a coffee stop at Ladywell Fields (Good Hope Café).
