Looking for a new home for my collection of vintage home making and interior design books. 22 volumes in total, including The Practical Man’s Book of Thing to Make and Do, The Art of the Table and Art and Design in Home and Living. Amusing, full of mid-century charm and maybe even useful! Free to anyone who is interested - but I am looking for someone to take the entire collection off my hands, not just one or two volumes.

  Try Mind and St Christopher’s - they generally accept such items, if bagged. There is a large bin at the car park of The Plough but it’s often full (despite my calls to the number provided) and some (on here) have said the organisation has links to certain charities/groups that one may find troubling. (Please do your own research. I cast no aspersions.)

  However I don't understand how I could check if the SSD is detected without being able to see anything on the screen? Or how I could run any diagnostic tools without being able to see anything on the screen?

  I just want to say how lovely the staff are in Kanella & Co, particularly Juan who is so upbeat whenever you go in. He has a smile and a kind word for everyone. I watched him today chat with an elderly lady who was on her own and he had her smiling and laughing in seconds, that kindness and taking time with folk goes a long way to brightening the greyest January day. Alex the owner too is always so charming and friendly. Long may they continue.
