The original is a small very faded sepia photograph. The TIF has been severely edited to make it viewable.

Date? Certainly pre-1914.

Fabulous photo! Can't work out where on Crystal Palace Road it is. The houses look so grand. Perhaps it is the East Dulwich Road end. Road and gardens also look wider. Where are you getting these photos from?

If the post box is a guide, it looks to me like that turning on the left is Crawthew Grove.

so you are walking down the road past the uplands on your left, towards east dulwcih raod.

I would have said it was looking up the road as if you were coming from Goose Green, and Northcross Road would be coming up on the right... Don't know why I'm thinking that though, and am probably completely wrong!

I just walked along the road and I reckon that (Sorry Keef) turning on the left is definitely Crawthew, heading down towards goose green. I think I might get a pic so we can look at then and now then we can decide.

I reckon you're right mightyroar, that's probably the spire of St Johns church on Goose Green you can just see in the distance
