In the collection there are four Victorian, copper coloured, hand painted Lustre ware jugs and one matching mug. The shaped jug has a tiny chip on the rim as does the mug. The largest of the jugs has a restored chip on its rim. These odd tiny chips are not noticeable when the collection is on display. The other two items are in perfect condition. This collection is very colourful and pretty. £45

  Most charity shops will take rags for textile recycling. I’ve also donated to Christopher’s, Shelter on LL and Scope in Camberwell. The only one I’ve known to refuse is the Oxfam in Herne Hill.

  I have always taken mine to the main St Christopher's shop, in a bin bag clearly marked "Rags". They have always accepted them. Clean items only, obviously.
