This is a Yamaha DTX electronic drum kit, ideal for a youngster to practice on, a bit small for an adult. It comes with headphones so there is no need to disturb the neighbours but there is a bit of a thud audible as the pads are hit. If you are masochistic enough to want to buy it for your budding Charlie Watts, we would be happy to sell it to you for about £200. We live in SE22.

  Hi, does anyone know anything about the generator that seems to run from 7am every day in the car park of Dominic Court off The Gardens? I live in a property that backs on to that car park and it’s incredibly noisy and fumey. It’s been there for a long time now and it looks like it’s powering a site office for construction workers. Does anyone have any information about how long it will be there for, and who is operating it? I worry about the quality of the air as it’s like having a truck running constantly. And it’s very annoying to have it rumbling all day.

  Most charity shops will take rags for textile recycling. I’ve also donated to Christopher’s, Shelter on LL and Scope in Camberwell. The only one I’ve known to refuse is the Oxfam in Herne Hill.
