Available from September for a long let for a single person.  A bright, attractive fully furnished apartment comprising a double bedroom, kitchen and bathroom (bath and shower) on the top floor and half landing of a Victorian house on Bellenden Rd.  Bed-linen and towels are provided.  There is also a spare bedroom for the occasional use of family and friends (with notice).  The house is at the quiet end of the street, with excellent transport links.  Supermarkets, restaurants and shops are a short distance away.  The owner lives in the downstairs rooms.  There are very friendly neighbours and a sense of community in this location.  7 minutes from East Dulwich station and 12 minutes from Peckham Rye.  There are lots of buses into Central London, and by bicycle the City is 20 to 25 minutes away.  Rent includes central heating, electricity and cleaning services.    1 month's deposit. Property can be viewed from mid- August.  Photos on request.

    • Caught him a few years ago at a bizarre gig in Canterbury and know his London agent.  Sad but he wants a well man.  It was a pleasure to have seen him a few times, always different!  Hadn't realised he had been a local.
    • Stewart Lee, who I have seen numerous times, played a gig 18 months ago in Peckham, turning up late and doing around 12 mins of an expected headliner slot.  He has no social media presence and is uncontactable.  I complained to the ticket agents and promoters to no avail.  Obviously I wouldn't boycott a paper due to this incident. With hard copy print declining more liberal media need support irrespective of how easy it is to pick holes.  The decline of regional and local papers has compounded the issue of so many drawing their information from the right wing/populist press, and unverified reports on social media.
