300 REDUCED FOR FAST SALE COLLECTION REQUIRED THIS WEEK: Laura Ashley Cranberry Check Large Sofa

We are selling our sofa. It’s very comfy!! Bought only 3 years back. But we need to replace with a sofa bed. Price dropped from 700 as we need to sell by end of this week as the new sofa bed arriving early next!

It’s in brilliant condition—with some normal wear and tear. Very minimal marks for a 3 year old sofa. See image 4 for a few small spots, but these are minor.

Our cats also decided to make a home in the under lining of the sofa, so we cut away the lining underneath. Has no impact on the sofa and is not visible (unless you lie on the floor to see, as I did for the photo). The under lining has no practical function and you wouldn’t be able to tell when looking at it that there was no lining. PRICE REFLECTS THIS. See image 3.

Only parting with it as we need a sofa bed. However, we have often had friends spend a night on this (singular), and say it’s rather comfy.

Retailed at 2,800. Similar Laura Ashley sofas still on at that price (via Next, as LA no longer functions as it’s own entity). Selling for £700.

Depth of seat: 62cm, entire depth: 95cm, width: 203cm, height of seat: 41cm, 88cm in height (from top of sofa back to floor).

    • I believe that Crown Post Offices are normally owned by the Post Office, and are frequently in valuable high street sites, so I would not be surprised if their sale value (or rentals to be derived if not sold) would be enticing, particularly for those offices running at slim or no profit margins. Happy to be proven wrong, of course.
    • The name has got a 50s feel about it so in my mind it’s for older people who have very specific concerns. Nothing wrong with that.

    • It is a challenge.  These sorts of services are increasingly expensive to deliver as fewer and fewer people use them.  Most people don't want to have to go back to using their lunch hour to queue up at the bank or Post Office.  So the options  are - reduce the service, make it more expensive or the tax payer subsidises it.
