I apologise for the brawl I caused in The Castle last night. I just see red when they try to sell me a bad pint, but I really should control my temper. I feel much better for the night in the cells in Peckham nick. I promise to behave myself tonight. I think it was drinking all day for St Patricks day, I really should try to pace myself.
OK... my comments about their customers, and getting priced out of the area were a bit over the top in retrospect! But I am starting to get quite cheesed off with that place. There's still broken glass outside, you'd hope that the owners would have the common sense - and respect for the community - to clean it up.

They won't get priced out cos they're all on housing benefits anyway

How did East Dulwich Mum manage to get banged up in Peckham nick (in the sense or incarcerated, not impregnated!) I have been trying to get in there for months with no success. I pay my taxes, you know! This is clearly sexism in favour of female offenders!
I must admit, a fight outside a public house isnt exactly the biggest tabloid shocker in the world... but I it's a little too common for some of the newcomers to the area... perhaps we should put caged fencing around working class establishments so that it doesn't offend the oxbridge crew? lol
True, it is a "working class" pub, and it's all part of the risk you take by living near a grotty hole like The Castle. But I've lived in rougher neighbourhoods than this, which much nastier pubs. What I do find shocking is that they don't even sweep the broken glass from the pavement, in what is still a family area after all.

    • People living on main roads like South Circular,  Lordship Lane, Croxted Road, Grove Vale etc  have been treated like rubbish all alibg. I hope the Grove Tovern is developed into a green space or a block of flats. Let's hope montana trump supporters will perish as soon as
    • Hi!  Our just 4 year old is currently taking swimming classes with Cindy’s swim school and we’re finding them a bit too easy and hands on. On holiday recently she swam (albeit without much style!) at least 8m on her own.     We’re thinking of signing her up to the improvers lessons at JAGS.  I believe there are up to 10 children per class and two teachers in the water.  Has anyone had any experience of these classes? Do they encourage independent swimming? thank you 🙏
    • Odd post.  London continues to be full of green and public space.  Labour kicked off the creation of a massive new park with revived and cleaner waterways in East London. Perhaps a mountain hut in Montana off grid may be more suitable for your needs, running water, timber, deer, a lifetimes supply of shotgun pellets, and hunting knives will do you fine.
