Harry73
Hi guys, I know this has been posted before but Herne Hill Velodrome is hosting the inaugural South London Grand Prix tonight with world class riders. There are many riders racing today and tomorrow who will be at the World Championships representing their country in a couple of weeks. The added bit is tonight, at 6pm, the Velodrome will be presenting Jim Love, one of the few 1948 Olympian cyclists who rode at HHV, with a special momento. Jim and special guests will be unveiling an Olympic plaque to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Velodrome being used for the London Olympics. There is food, drink and a very special atmosphere. Also youth riding at 5pm. Hopefully it will be a fun couple of evenings with racing from 3pm.
