Part-time housekeeper required for family of four in Dulwich Village. From £18 p/h ++

We are a friendly, hands-on family of four living in Dulwich Village and we're looking for a flexible housekeeper who is able to cook. Key responsibilities would be laundry, cleaning and cooking.

We are flexible for the right candidate but we'd ideally like an all rounder that can slot into our family life and lend a hand in helping the household run smoothly. A child-friendly attitude is a must and DBS checks. A great communicator is also key so we know what's happening and when in this busy household, but also so we can support your role to the best of our abilities.

We are looking for someone with a keen eye for cleaning and the ability to manage weekly jobs as well as stay on top of a monthly rotation of 'spring' cleaning jobs.

Cooking will be a core responsibility and the ideal candidate would prepare healthy (ish!!) home-made daily meals for four and plan and cook fridge or freezer fills for the weekend.

We are quite flexible on hours for the right candidate (but minimum 20 hours a week) and ideally Mon-Thurs 1-6. Afternoons though are a must.

Please PM me

Rory Stewart has a fascinating insight into the issues here - about the high cost of land and the low returns from farming and how this is anything but a few farms being affected. Well worth a listen for those that want to hear both sides of the argument.

    • Apparently the police took a call from a certain C Little.  I understand that it was difficult to hear the exact name as there was a lot of clucking in the background.  Various farm animals are helping with enquiries, worryingly a few foxes have been seen on the prowl so this may not end well.  I say police protection for C Little, now. Eagles and seagulls have also been seen on large numbers in the area.  I'd keep away as it could be carnage. Certainly watch your ice cream cornets and perhaps wear ear plugs. Not sure if this is anything to do with the local authority or the Labour government, no doubt someone will find a link.
