Anyone know why M&S Lordship Lane closed early?

Just before 6pm, approached and the store was closed. no sign that I could see...Pile of baskets etc in front to make it clear the doors were shut

Not sure but I saw 2 police officers around M&S talking to security and then going to other shops on LL..

There were some fire engines out the back earlier around by the cer wash at about 5pm. Might have been related.

It was a lot earlier than that - I got up there about 3.15pm and it was closed then. In fact that was why I popped in here this morning to see if anyone could shed any light on it.

Lady Milhaven, you might be correct. I was just guessing the time tbh. Fire engines could have been around 3.

There is no cold stock in there at all today really so I would guess their sub transformer blew and the fridges went out.

The buzz (no pun intended if is was their transformer) on the Lane this morning was that it was some sort of fire.

M&S was closed this evening as well when I went at 6.30.   The Grove Vale store is open.
