Stunning Portmerion tea cups and saucers set. Excellent condition. Mixed patterns (I have more photos available on request)

This cup and saucer set features six different detailed flower illustrations. Made of earthenware in the UK, they're dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe for everyday use.

The Botanic Garden collection is the most famous range from Portmeirion. Over 30 different flowers are used in the designs for the collection and it is constantly changing, with new motifs and products regularly added to the range. Each ceramic piece is made with care, attention and love, passing through 22 pairs of hands before being ready for your home. Designed by Susan Williams-Ellis, the range features pretty floral motifs and a signature leaf border, finished with a chip-resistant glaze.

Choose the perfect china

All our china is made from clay and kiln-fired for durability. Except for pieces with special trims, everything is dishwasher safe. Below are a few options to consider when choosing your perfect china.

Earthenware    Strong and practical, perfect for everyday. Its cream colour and low firing temperatures allow for designed pieces.
Stoneware    Tougher than earthenware and chip resistant. Ideal for heavy use and can often go into the oven to temperatures of up to 250°C.
Terracotta    Uses a clay with a rich body colour giving the characteristic base colour, and has a low glaze firing allowing bright coloured glazes. Porous body allows for good thermal expansion and contraction properties making it an ideal body for cookware such as tagines and roasters.
Porcelain    Delicate yet strong. Carefully selected clays give whiteness and translucency. It can often go from oven to table.
Fine china    The synthetic bone ash used in fine china makes it a more affordable alternative to bone china whilst maintaining the benefits - strength, translucency and delicacy.
Bone china    Bone china is made from 40% bone ash. This makes strong yet thin and delicate pieces which are microwave, dishwasher* and oven safe making each piece ideal for everyday use, not just formal.

    • Hi I am looking to join some local businesses networking events and wondering if anyone can recommend any. I know there used to be one (Cooking with Scissors) but that’s not running any more. Thanks.
    • Eats Dulwich has just reviewed Arapina, including its hot chocolate!  I assume they read the original first and  very long post on this thread before almost all of it was removed. Interesting to have another opinion!
    • I see you have just reviewed Arapina's  hot chocolate 🤣
    • HA! If only . . . The other night I took the 37 from Herne Hill to Goose Green, only it was diverted via Denmark Hill. That would have been ok, except when the driver reached the junction for Denmark Hill she wasn't allowed to turn right as there were road works on Dog Kennel Hill starting at 8pm and all buses were being diverted via Camberwell Church St and Rye Lane.  I got off there at Kings College Hospital, as I figured it was closer to home than Peckham . . .  Still good for my step count I suppose.
