Hi - we are being quoted for a new roof and want to sense check any quotes. Has anyone had a Victorian terrace roof replaced recently and could share the rough costs, please? -
Yes that is absolutely right but when Keir Starmer has said (during partygate) "lawbreakers cannot be lawmakers" you have to question how she ever got appointed to the cabinet. Was anyone doing any due diligence? The fact she resigned so quickly might also suggest as more details of the case come out it may become more damaging to both her and the party. Wasn't it someone switching the phone back on again that triggered the police to get back in touch with her? Yet another massive own-goal.

Unfortunately no shows and disappearing buyers do happen on the forum as elsewhere. Sometimes life events interrupt plans (accidents, early baby arrivals etc. - both have happened to my buyers in the past!); other times people are just a little too casual. I find that in life event cases the buyer is usually very apologetic and I try to accomodate them. In the other cases I growl inwardly and see if anyone else bites!! I have found that my stress is lowered if I don't give out my address etc until a time and date for collection is made - not always a 100% guarantee, but it helps. As a side note, I'm sorry you were insulted. Personal remarks where we might be missing key information are never kind or helpful and best avoided!
