Feeling tired, uninspired and lost confidence with your body, clothing and identity! Highly recommend local personal stylist, Jacqueline.

I recently had my colour analysis done… and it’s been transforming! Plus she is local, a mom, very knowledgable and calm.

She has given me the confidence and inspiration to shop; and feel great following the session. I followed up quickly and started building out my capsule wardrobe.

It was the most relaxing and (not daunting) time, providing me education of how and why various colours suited me. I honestly didn’t realise there was an art to it! She really got to know me, and how I dress, lifestyle etc. to tailor the session.

Using her simple (key for me!) yet exhaustive followup (which had my season, specific colours with accessory / jewellery tips and high street brand recommendations). I  felt enabled to go out and shop - and not have buyers regret or wonder why my numerous online purchases didn’t suit me. It’s made shopping fun and easy, even possible with a baby in tow, locally.

If your anything like me, my body has changed since having kids, I have grown older and my clothing either doesn’t fit, suit my style or chapter in my life. I have always yo-yoed then committed strongly to weight training for over 8 years … but having children, pandemic, life, lack of time and energy to exercise m; meant I did not have time to invest in me. So I had a cupboard load of loose dresses, clothing to hide myself and a surplus of leggings and slouchy jumpers.

I thought my body had to be a certain weight / tone and now realise… looking back, the reason why I looked “good” was not because of my body… but the colours I wore , were actually part of my colour palette!

I haven’t worn jeans in 7 years … and I have felt confident to wear them as the colour of my jumpers, tops etc. complement me. So I don’t worry about how things fit verses how the colours illuminate me.

I could go on about the session, how calm and interesting this was and how experienced Jacquline is. Aside from that, this has changed my life. From feeling cautious shop, to fabulous with the body I am - right now. And knowing, what I am buying won’t date, or be thrown out or returned.

For anyone thinking about a stylist, for a basic colour analysis or to overhaul your wardrobe or personal shopping service. Look no further! I am even signing up my husband!

    • Not sure about changing hands but the Peckham Rye one is open and hasn’t had any random closures. Our child is very happy there but there was a resolved Ofsted complaint half way through last year.  Things don’t look good for the Devon nursery owned by the same company - looks like loads of issues with Ofsted which can be seen in its latest report.
    • I was in Forest Hill Road today, just past the Rye, and noticed there is a dentist next to the Herne (pub) that has NHS signs outside. I've never had any problems getting NHS dental treatment in East Dulwich, and I get regular check ups. I've been to three  different dental practices here over the years, all with NHS treatment. I think the difficulties are in other parts of the country. Malumbu has a good explanation above. I didn't hear the Radio 4 programme, but I'm guessing that a  radio programme is not going to have time to say where you CAN easily get NHS treatment, and is bound to focus on the negatives and the horror stories, otherwise it would be very boring! ETA: Re children's teeth, I think the major issue is not lack of dentists, it is children being given sugary food, drinks and confectionery which rots their teeth. The education of parents needs to be about this, not just about tooth brushing. And in some cases the poor diet may also be due to lack of money for healthy food. Though of course the lack of dentists doesn't help, if  the tooth rotting can't be rectified by fillings or extraction.
    • Well, I hope you like what you see, the hot air, lack of answers and continual blaming things on the last Government and the made up blackhole, I find are nauseating. The man needs to see reality, because I'd guess that if we had a snap election tomorrow and based on the first six months of this parliament, Labour would get trounced. When the election does finally happen and if that isn't before the people rise up and throw this lot out, Labour will not be voted back in for a millennium.
