I live in a house containing 2 flats..
Flat A is an empty property...
It seems like opportunist theives are targeting empty properties and sending items fraudulently to these addresses.
This man came to pick up a parcel sent to  the empty property. Royal mail left the parcel there. They tracked it. Saw it was  delivered and came the next day..
When questioned that no- one lives at flat A ( you can see it's empty), he stated that he was  moving in on the road. Then ask him what address.. he quoted the postcode, then  suddenly remembered the number of the house..
He was shaking whilst being questioned.  Then he said ok I will leave it." Why would you leave something you paid and ordered.
This is clearly fraud.
This is the photo of the man.. which in my mind was sent to pick up the parcel.
He learnt the postcode and some phoney excuse if anyone asked him.

Removed photo. This should be given to the police.

If you know who owns the flat you should tell them and if you can see which company is sending the parcels tell the owner and the owner can deal with it.

It can be quite difficult to convince companies that an address is being used fraudulently and that they should stop sending stuff. But it is a problem when the invoices are linked to that address and go unpaid in terms of credit ratings, bailiffs etc so the flat owner definitely needs to know.

    • My partner told me the other day that he had seen some in Southwark Park, and he had never seen any there before. I've only ever seen them near water, eg by the stream on the walk between Merton and Carshalton. Hoping I might get some in the garden now, it would make a nice change from sparrows, great tits and the robin, lovely as they are 😀
    • Thanks, I'll call them.  I don't think the letters would be sent out from the shop, so it's more likely that the info line would know.
    • Main info number is 0208 768 4500 you could try that
    • I’ve searched and found some chat back in October about the white stuff place closing and that Oliver Bonas could take it over.  Hopefully that’s the case. Went to Bromley over Christmas and there’s quite a few shop closures on the main high street that weren’t there when I last went. Think it could be going the same way as Croydon sadly.
