Sadly now discontinued the Ribble 7005 Audax was, for over a decade, the pre-eminent do-it-all road bike. Mudguard and pannier rack eyelets ensure this is a dependable and adaptable commuter or training bike. It has been given a make over this year to upgrade for a mid-noughties Dura Ace gear system. These parts are in splendid condition and are still operating at the level Dura Ace implies. A semi compact 52-36 chainset and 12-28 cassette provide gears for tackling all but the very hardest of UK hills. Wheels are true and sturdy with tyres that have modest wear. The rim brakes operate without flex and offer surprisingly good stopping power. Pedals are the dual sided and allow for regular shoes or Shimano SPD cleats to attach. The current owner has used this for six years and has had it serviced regularly. There are no signs of corrusion and only a few cosmetic scuffs and scratches commensurate with its age and frequent usage. Original sales Ribble receipts available. A recent check was performed by Goose Green Evans Cycles and brand new brake blocks fitted.

    • Are you drunk? 😀  I like your reason for editing your post, btw. Though maybe you should have stuck to what was there before 😂
    • No chance, Sue. I'd much rather be rumbling with Jabba's wench in The Return of the Jedi. And I don't mean Princess Leia in her splendid bikini. I mean the tasty green alien lady with green tentacles coming out of her head. Yum. She can dance.
    • I live in ED and didn't pass my test till quite late in life and even now I barely drive. I get nervous when I know I have a big motorway drive coming up. Anyway, when I do have a long drive coming up, I call Nick (above, from Nicholas Driving Academy) and he'll do me a couple of lessons and I'm a lot calmer and better when the time comes. And he knows electric cars well, including Teslas. Fully recommend.
