About me:

Hello! My name is Eva and I am an experienced tutor offering online sessions. I will have tutoring slots opening up from mid-May this year.

I am a friendly, engaging and patient tutor, with excellent communication skills. I have an incredibly strong academic record (First Class MA in Actor Training & Coaching - Central School of Speech & Drama, First Class Honours degree - Guildhall School of Music & Drama, A-Levels: English Literature-A*, French-A, Drama - A*) and a genuine love for teaching young people. I feel passionate about bringing success and confidence to those I teach, and I aim to inspire my pupils to develop a real love for their subject!

Tutoring experience:

I have been tutoring for eight years, and am always attentive to an individual's needs - and will adopt my teaching accordingly. I enable progress and success in each of my students, whilst nourishing a sense of fun and real love of the subject. I tutor students ranging in ages from 6 - 14 yrs.

Subjects I cover:

11+ (English, Maths, Non Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning)

7+ (English, Maths, Non Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning)

English (KS1, KS2, GCSE)

Maths (KS1, KS2)

Drama (KS1, KS2, GCSE, A-Level, drama school coaching)

Piano (Beginners, Grades 1 - 5)

Life skills: confidence building; communication skills; public speaking and more.

My rate:

£50/hour

Some lovely testimonials from clients:

'Eva is a fantastic tutor and I would not hesitate to recommend to any family. She always makes lessons enjoyable, engaging our 10 year old as effectively as our 6 year old. I have seen tangible progress in their learning and they always look forward to sessions. Eva gives sensible homework and communicates helpful feedback to us too'

'I just asked T why he likes you and he said because you're kind and you make it fun and you're go go go! I am really pleased with how things are going as you are patient, you take cues from T so if you see he's struggling you'll slow down or ensure he knows it's ok to guess/not know and more than anything you seem to genuinely enjoy speaking to him. You're also very encouraging.'

Eva

    • The Oxfam shop refusal may be because they have very limited storage space at the back of their very small shop?
    • I agree. The staff are always lovely!
    • Hi, does anyone know anything about the generator that seems to run from 7am every day in the car park of Dominic Court off The Gardens? I live in a property that backs on to that car park and it’s incredibly noisy and fumey. It’s been there for a long time now and it looks like it’s powering a site office for construction workers. Does anyone have any information about how long it will be there for, and who is operating it? I worry about the quality of the air as it’s like having a truck running constantly. And it’s very annoying to have it rumbling all day.
    • Most charity shops will take rags for textile recycling. I’ve also donated to Christopher’s, Shelter on LL and Scope in Camberwell. The only one I’ve known to refuse is the Oxfam in Herne Hill.
