I am a warm, kind and considerate teacher who believes in nurturing and confidence building as being the key to a child’s educational success.

I teach at an independent prep school in South East London and have 23 years of teaching experience. My experience spans KS1 and KS2 and I am involved with the Prep and Senior school’s entrance exams.

I cover phonics, Maths, English and Science, as well as verbal and non-verbal reasoning skills. If you are considering tuition for entrance exam preparation, please arrange well in advance of the exams. Depending on your child’s needs, this may require up to a year of preparation.

Tutoring takes place in my spacious and quiet home, located close to Burgess Park in Camberwell. Tuition hours are between 5-7pm on weekdays and 9am to 1pm on Sundays. I am also available during the holidays for tuition. I accept bookings of between one and two hours per child.

Unfortunately, I am unable to tutor children who attend the school I work at.

I have a current and enhanced DBS certificate, available upon request.

Please PM me for rates.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions at:

Kind regards,

Mrs Davies

    • The Oxfam shop refusal may be because they have very limited storage space at the back of their very small shop?
    • I agree. The staff are always lovely!
    • Hi, does anyone know anything about the generator that seems to run from 7am every day in the car park of Dominic Court off The Gardens? I live in a property that backs on to that car park and it’s incredibly noisy and fumey. It’s been there for a long time now and it looks like it’s powering a site office for construction workers. Does anyone have any information about how long it will be there for, and who is operating it? I worry about the quality of the air as it’s like having a truck running constantly. And it’s very annoying to have it rumbling all day.
    • Most charity shops will take rags for textile recycling. I’ve also donated to Christopher’s, Shelter on LL and Scope in Camberwell. The only one I’ve known to refuse is the Oxfam in Herne Hill.
