Meditation has stood the test of time and can be used to boost low mood, reduce anxiety and stress, improve sleep and access our parasympathetic nervous systems. Practiced in pregnancy it provides helpful tools for labour, aids self soothing and bonding with babies. Paradoxically low tech; mindfulness and a knowledge of cognitive behavioural therapy techniques provides potent tools to improve your health for life. If you are expecting locally we would love to practice with you. Join our new series of workshops on mindfulness and wellbeing in pregnancy at Yogarise Peckham. Prepare for birth and parenting and build yourself a support network at the same time.
