Experienced and encouraging Guitar Tuition!

Dear budding guitarists, young and adult!

What a beautiful gift to be able to pick up the guitar and create wonderful music…. Classic golds to recents smash hits.

Whether it be for yourself, your child, Grand parents or indeed a special gift for your loved ones (as Mother’s Day is nearly upon us)

Having studied classically at the age of eleven (gaining Grade 3 at The Royal Academy of music) I have enjoyed guitar teaching for over twenty-five years.

Ages have ranged from 4yrs-74yrs. Teaching pop/acoustic/rock from beginners to adult. I have also taken students through Grades and they have all achieved a succession of Distinctions on every graded exam for every student I have taught, I am very proud to say. As we all know practice pays off however encouragement and understanding of students needs and abilities is what my lessons are based on. I feel I am approachable, firm but kind and understanding.

My ethics are for lessons to be enjoyable and beneficial on every level mentally and technically. Some students want to be able to rock away by a camp fire, others wish to move on to graded levels.

Whichever is chosen I feel I can bring enthusiasm and commitment, retaining some students for 10yrs, watching them grow and succeed on their musical journey.

As a working musician, I perform guitar and vocals solo/duo/ trio and with my band. From Radison Blu Hotels to Festivals, running open mics nights and private events. Many of my students have performed with me and even had their own performances and debuts on music events that I organise and indeed their own.

    • The Oxfam shop refusal may be because they have very limited storage space at the back of their very small shop?
    • I agree. The staff are always lovely!
    • Hi, does anyone know anything about the generator that seems to run from 7am every day in the car park of Dominic Court off The Gardens? I live in a property that backs on to that car park and it’s incredibly noisy and fumey. It’s been there for a long time now and it looks like it’s powering a site office for construction workers. Does anyone have any information about how long it will be there for, and who is operating it? I worry about the quality of the air as it’s like having a truck running constantly. And it’s very annoying to have it rumbling all day.
    • Most charity shops will take rags for textile recycling. I’ve also donated to Christopher’s, Shelter on LL and Scope in Camberwell. The only one I’ve known to refuse is the Oxfam in Herne Hill.
