East Dulwich Picturehouse are holding extra Kids' Club screenings during the daytime on 15th and 16th March.

We hope that this might be useful for the strike days and potentially help families who are supporting each other by sharing childcare on those dates. Free activity sheets will also be available to do in the cafe or take home with you.

Tickets are £3.30 per person per film, and the films on offer are:

FANTASTIC MR FOX

Wednesday 15th at 10am & Thursday 16th at 10.10am

A magical animated version of Roahl Dahl’s classic children’s book about crafty Mr Fox and his battle of wits against three dastardly farmers.

MOANA

Wednesday 15th at 1.45pm & Thursday 16th at 11.20am

An epic adventure about a spirited girl who sets sail on a daring mission to prove herself and fulfill her ancestors’ unfinished quest. During her journey, Moana meets the mighty demigod Maui, and together they cross the ocean on a fun-filled, action-packed voyage, encountering enormous sea creatures, breathtaking underworlds and impossible odds.

PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH

Wednesday 15th at 2.30pm & Thursday 16th at 2pm

Everyone’s favourite leche-loving, swashbuckling, fear-defying feline returns – but Puss in Boots discovers that his passion for peril and disregard for safety have taken their toll. Puss has burned through eight of his nine lives, and getting those lives back will send Puss in Boots on the ultimate adventure.

MARCEL THE SHELL WITH SHOES ON

Thursday 16th March at 3.30pm

When Dean moves into an Airbnb, he quickly discovers that he is not alone. Marcel, an adorable one-inch-tall shell, already lives there with his grandmother Connie and their pet lint, Alan. Once part of a sprawling community of shells, Marcel and Connie live alone as the sole survivors of a mysterious tragedy but Dean might be able to help him track down his long-lost family.

    • A silly title, Truss set such a high bar I doubt whether anyone can ever match her level of incompetence. Paul Johnson spoke on inheritance tax on one of the political programmes.  Any inheritance tax is controversial, and he considered farmers should not be an expectation I was underwhelmed and incredibly disappointed that there was no increase in fuel duty; Labour chickened out and I will be telling Rachel's sister this view. Paul Johnson has written a good article on his analysis and that the budget was not at all revolutionary https://ifs.org.uk/articles/budget-was-non-event-and-kicked-big-decisions-down-road If you want something to worry about look over the Pond
