Can anyone recommend an upholstery service in East Dulwich? I have a nice easy chair (Heals, about 15 years' old) generally vgc but needs reupholstering. I also have an old Parker Knoll wing chair which needs reupholstering but I am happy to give this one away, perhaps to someone who is learning upholstery. Maybe there is a deal to be done here?

try angels on Melbourne grove - we literally just took something there yesterday to be upholstered and they were really friendly and helpful and the quote seems very reasonable. http://www.angelupholstery.co.uk/Pages/default.aspx

we had a previous bad experience with the linwood and Searle place at the bottom of dog kennel hill (not great service and pretty pricey) and if you search on here, you'll find it wasn't just us...

    • Temi has just completed an awkward job covering up serious stains from a dilapidated valley roof (now renewed) She worked carefully and produced an excellent result - a pristine ceiling. Highly recommended.
    • Nothing wrong with a bit of springtime colour after a dull grey winter, I like a Red Robin too!

    • I've had something similar happen. I noticed it at the checkout because I was only buying one item which I couldn't get elsewhere. It was on special offer and the price difference was significant. I was asked to go right to the other, far,  side of the shop to take a photo of the shelf price. It was just before Christmas (not this year), the shop was jam-packed, and I am ancient and decrepit. Long saga, but I complained and said surely the correct prices should be on whatever resource (?) is used at the till when products are scanned in. I'd have to look back to see the exact outcome, but if memory serves Sainsbury's just gave some bland reply and said complaints weren't passed on to the store 😮
