Pickle
Good. The morning school run offenders deserve everything they get, I'm sick of dodging badly parked cars and seeing people parked on zig zags as we walk to school in the morning! pommie
I don't live in Dulwich but I am glad they are doing the rounds. My daughters school has started putting cones out on the yellow zig zags to stop people parking there but instead all they do now is double park which makes the road more dangerous. Townleygreen
I've never understood why the little darlings can't walk a 100m from a safe parking spot to the school gate, or even - dare I suggest it - 200m!It really is quite pathetic and sad to see human nature in the raw in these cases. edhistory
Our schools have very tight. walkable, catchment areas.Perhaps these parents and children don't live at the address declared on their school application forms.Perhaps Southwark Council could do some data-matching.John K Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/32254-calling-all-cars/#findComment-645101 Share on other sites

the-e-dealer
Well if you have an sen child you may need to drive and park nearby. Also as any fool nowz this sort of warning will reduce the commission of the act which endangers our kids. So its win win. LadyDeliah
How is that rude? I'm asking a question. If a child can't walk, they are disabled. If they are not disabled but are labelled as having Special Educational Needs, why would they need to be driven to school? LadyDeliah
Ok, well enlighten me by answering my question. As far as I'm aware SEN covers everything from a child being a bit slow to learn to a child who is too hyperactive to be able to concentrate, so I don't see why they would specifically need to be driven to school, unlike kids who have mobility issues. I pity the kids that have such sanctimonious parents. Somebody asks a question and she gets shut down. Making somebody else "wrong" so that you can bask in the glory of making yourself "right" is is just another form of ignorance.
