Maxie
I picked up a flyer yesterday at the Dulwich festival in goose green park from like minders a London child care company. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience of using them. I would love to get any feedback as I am looking for a babysitter.Thanks. rachel83
I saw the stall but have never heard of them. I have used Sitters in the past and have also found some great recommendations for babysitters on the forum. There are lots of nannies and childminders that work in evenings and weekends. Bellenden Belle
I have a couple of friends who use them and swear by them - one has twins and used them with success even in the early days. That said, they're pricey if you don't intend to use them regularly. Maxie
Thank you for your responses. It is good to hear some good feedback. I am quite interested as my children are in nursery and having them to call on in emergency situations I think will be really helpful for us as we don't have family in London. Belle
Any thoughts on how they compare with Sitters? I've been meaning to try them (sitters) for ages but interested if there are any differences. RachC
I have been a member of both. Likeminders where we used to live - only used them once as we then found a local baby sitter. When we moved here we didn't know any baby sitters so joined sitters. I have been impressed with sitters and you can add you favourite baby sitters so have had same sitter more than once. I think they are very similar but sitters is much cheaper Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/32188-like-minders/#findComment-645221 Share on other sites
fergju
I use Likeminders and have done for the past 18months. All the sitters we have had have been very nice and we have been able to change our allocated sitter with no problems if we didnt feel they would match our childrens needs / personalities. So would def recommend them. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/32188-like-minders/#findComment-645330 Share on other sites
P&J
Hi All,I am in the process of setting up a local childcare business called Dulwich Childcare which focuses on providing local families with local, qualified and experienced babysitters and childcarers. I really struggled to find a reliable babysitter, last minute and after school childcare and having recently given up my job in City, I have decided to set up my own local business offering all these. I am hoping to 'launch' in the next few weeks so I will definitely keep you all posted with all the details and hopefully look forward to providing you with my childcare services!Watch this space!! newmanp
Does anyone know where we could get someone to help for 30 mins in the morning and 30 mins in the evening? Our working hours mean that we struggle to take our son to nursery and then get to work on time. The nursery is a 3 min walk away so we just need someone to take him there for us.Any offers/ suggestions welcomePete and Sylwia Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/32188-like-minders/#findComment-645429 Share on other sites
