Hi everyone,

I'm an experienced cake baker and chef, a self-taught foody, with a background in hospitality and cafe management (including level 2 food hygiene).

I specialise in cakes and puddings, made to order for any event - as a centre point, a gift, or even to pass off as your own!

Any sweet treats are available, such as:

sponges/cupcakes(coffee & walnut, carrot, victoria, triple chocolate);

brownies (white chocolate & berry, chocolate & hazelnut, chocolate fudge,peanut butter, salted caramel);

cookies (peanut butter, oat & sultana, chocolate chip, toffee fudge, ginger);

tarts (lemon, chocolate, fruit, apple, pear & almond, berry, caramelised nuts).

For the more adventurous celebration we can work together on a Cake Creation - a unique combination of your favourite flavours and ingredients, carefully considered within the Cake Consultation, and guaranteed to lead to squirms of delight.

Examples include -

banana, apple & walnut cake with vanilla buttercream;

raspberry marble cake with chocolate icing and hazelnut crust;

passionfruit and lemon layer cake with cream cheese icing;

chocolate orange bomb cake with Wispa ganache icing;

triple ginger cake with lemon glaze;

pear, almond and cardamon cake;

courgette, raisin and walnut;

lemon and dark chocolate;

mango and lemon meringue pie...

Everything made from scratch in East Dulwich, using natural, locally sourced ingredients, only ever pure butter and free-range eggs, with no artificial colourings or preservatives.

Thanks!

Hi

Could you let me know what your thoughts are on a cake like the photo below for a wedding. A simple jam & buttercream Victoria sponge (non iced) with fruit, 3 tiers to serve about 80-90 people. I have a glass cake stand that could be suitable or if a larger one is needed could buy one.

Thanks

Claire

hello,

It is my baby boy's dedication this Sunday and I was hoping to bake myself, but as time is running out I might have to purchase instead. I hate shop cakes, so pls could you let me know the price of a 10 medium slices of a double ginger cake with lemon glaze and a plain 10 medium slices Victoria sponge with a strawberry jam filling, no cream or icing. I've made a small traditional fruit cake. I would need them in time for Sunday tea - 4.30pm. Thank you

Regards

Tamsin

Hi, I'm organising a party and want to make a triple layer cake in 'wild animal' style but think I have the time and skills to do one layer plus the decoration... Would you be interested in doing a square chocolate cake for the bottom layer, and a slightly smaller square Madeira/sponge/lemon for the middle layer, both with plain white fondant icing? I would need it on the evening of the 19th of June. Julie.

Last but not least, the silver disco ball cake!

A chocolate sponge ball filled and iced with chocolate buttercream. Covered with fondant icing and sprayed silver with edible glitter! Standing on an iced chocolate sponge base with the birthday girl's name on it.

More photos are available via a link to DropBox, email or text. Feel free to PM me with any enquiries or call/text on 07861673600.

Thanks all!

I would highly recommend Cake Chef.

The disco ball cake was made for my daughter's 11th birthday party and everyone at the party was amazed at both the design and taste of the cake.

The chocolate sponge was delicious and when we added sparklers to the top of the ball it looked amazing!

I gave Cassia a wishlist for the design of this cake and she delivered to brief, on time and within budget.

Great service.

I ordered from the Cake chef for an afternoon tea gathering. Cassia was friendly and from the get go you could feel her passion for baking and eating. I ordered a Victoria sponge with jam, cream and fresh strawberries which was delicious, buttery and fluffy. I also order cupcakes flavoured: chocolate and caramel, white chocolate and raspberry, carrot orange and cardamom, lemon and passion fruit. They all looked beautifully decorated and tasted even better. These little gems were absolutely gorgeous, sweet and not overly rich, but still a "cupcake indulgence"!

I definitely recommend Cassia and I will order from her again.

Very friendly service

Catarina

In need of some inspiration? Please see the attached pictures, which include some of the cupcakes from the above post - chocolate and butterscotch, lemon and passion fruit - and a red velvet with cream cheese icing and rosette decorations, made for a client this weekend.

Do get in touch if you would like to discuss any cake creation - anything from traditional tastes to something new and bespoke.

Thanks,

    • Royal Mail will come and collect your parcels from your home if you book/pay it all on their website.  You can even print out your own postage for letters/cards.  I did all of my Christmas cards that way this year rather than hunting down physical stamps!
    • Surely there is much less cash being banked these days because the vast majority of people find it much more convenient to pay by card (or phone) than to have to get out cash, carry it around, pay with it,  and then mess about with having to find somewhere to store heavy loose change. Card payment  is also much easier for the shop. And much easier for customers in a queue who don't have to wait while someone gets their purse out, counts out the money and gives it to the assistant,  who then has to count out and give them their change, which they then have to put away in their purse...  And nobody from the shop has to carry shedloads of notes and loose change to the bank or post office and queue up to pay it in. There is also less likelihood of a customer being short changed, or of  some  form of theft from the till.
    • But why ask us to book ahead? The system benefits the die-hards who hover over their keyboards and snap up the slots (and don’t always show up).
    • Sure, there is much less cash being banked these days because businesses are driven to accept card payments. They have to go to card payment because there is no local bank where they can pay in their daily take. In effect, it is a feedback loop which will result in no high street banks at all. Cash payment is really only used for paying  self-employed trades people who are evading tax.
