3 reasons why your home could be looking bland …

and QUICK FIXES for you over the FESTIVE period!🎄🍾💫

A POP OF FUN FOR THE NEW YEAR!

To bring some sparkle to your day, one of my favourite tips is adding some colour in your home somewhere unexpected.

Inside wardrobes or drawers works so well and gives you that little energy pop every day. Yesss!! Painting is obviously quicker and easier, but a wallpaper can look fab too!! Go for something you love but feel nervous about using in a larger area.

HAVE A LOT OF YOUR FURNITURE PIECES ENDED UP BEING A SIMILAR HEIGHT?

Quite often a dining table, the back of a sofa and armchair can all end up similar heights. Make sure that there is variation to avoid monotony and complete blah. Floor lamps are a great way to help with this.

This applies to cushion sizes TOO. Make sure you use a variation of size and scale to bring interest and life to your home!

Have a shuffle around … and mix it up!! 🔥

OK … AND ONE FOR THE KIDDIES …

If you’re anything like me with all the new present arrival at Christmas, it’s time to do some much delayed sorting out in the kids’ rooms over this break. 🤪

As you’ll be in their room anyway, think about a fun upgrade for the New Year. Top tip for designing rooms for the little ones … get down on your knees.

See it from their height, see it from their hearts! ❤️

Don’t just hang your gorgeous artwork up high out of their eyeline. Make sure there’s excitement and enticement at their level too.

Create a kiddy wonderland!! 💫💫

I hope you’re having a GLORIOUS break. I’m going all in on only doing things I love. If it doesn’t make my heart sing it just isn’t happening!!

All the best!

    • I am looking for somebody that can attach curtain tape to the top. It’s the part that the hooks go into. I need it stitched on willing to pay if anybody can do it please message me thank you.
    • Agree with @Sue the Dog is awful-nice building awful food. We like The Rossendale and Watsons
    • There are so many variables. Good chefs can having bad nights, post-Brexit staff shortages, your dish might be brilliant, your friend might order something that's inedible. In the end I think the best option is just to go to the restaurant which has the best overall reviews. If all the reviews are bad then avoid, but even if all the reviews are good that's not a cast iron gaurantee.
    • The trouble is that pub management and chefs are constantly changing, so what might be fantastic on one occasion  becomes terrible a short time later, and vice versa. Two of the worst pub lunches I've had locally were at the Dog in the village and the Plough, but both those were some time ago. We had an absolutely appalling Christmas lunch on Christmas Day at The Cherry Tree, which was also exorbitantly expensive, so unless their chef (I use the term loosely) has changed, I wouldn't advise eating there. The menu looked amazing. We thought we would treat ourselves. Never again 😭
