raquel
Hello, It’s been years since I’ve posted on this forum but I’m hoping that someone might be able to help.My daughter is 14 and really wants to start playing football. I feel bad that’s it’s not something she got into earlier but she never seemed interested. I’m looking for a relaxed girls group where she will feel comfortable learning to play and isn’t too competitive. Does such a thing exist? Alternatively, I had thought about trying to organise a group myself but would need to find somewhere to play and some other like minded girls. Thanks for your help. legalalien
Maybe try Girls United who are local and run some mixed age sessions at Alleyns, they say it’s for all levels of experience, but if it’s not the place for a 14 year old beginner I’m sure they’d tell you and maybe point you in the right direction! I’m involved in a different sport and have come across the Girls United guys at one of our shared grounds, they seem like a nice bunch.Good luck!https://www.girlsunitedfa.org/london-club#londonclub-sessions Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/318690-girls-football/#findComment-1604805 Share on other sites
pilsbury
Athenlay FC is well established for girls football, and their ethos is very much about everyone having a go - give them a shot.
