The pavement on Gowlett Road next to the Fired Up pottery is always full of dumped crap. Can local businesses (ie those on East Dulwich Road) not be warned about what is basically fly-tipping? There has been an old toilet sitting there for at least three months. On such a potentially lovely street local residents and businesses need to be forced to act with more respect.

It's been a favourite spot for dumping stuff for years. The back lane behind the shops is apparently not the council's responsibility so although in extremis they have cleared it now and again they are not keen. The problem seems to be not so much the shops - the bike shop for example put out their cardboard rubbish but are meticulous in getting it swiftly removed. Oddly (or not), fly-tipping seems to have got worse since the fairly recent appearance of a painted message on the wall reading "No Fly Tipping".
